Manchester United vs Liverpool: Clash Of The Season

Manchester United vs Liverpool is one of the biggest rivalries in the world and tomorrow they go head-to-head in the Premier League. If Manchester United win, they will go 10 points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand. If Liverpool win they will go four points behind United and United will have a game in hand.

United's last match in the Premier League (which seems like ages ago) was a 2-1 win over Newcastle. Liverpool's last match in the Premier League was a 2-0 win over Sunderland).

Whoever takes hold of the midfield tomorrow will probably win the game, if either Gerrard (if he is fit) or Carrick take control then I think that the team will go on and win the match. Liverpool are expected to sit back and try and nick a late goal to win the game which means that United will have to break down Liverpool's defence, the main man in their defence is Carragher.

I haven't been too impressed with Torres when he has played against Man United, which isn't a bad thing, Ferdinand and Vidic will have to be vigilant but I am fairly happy they can keep him quiet.

Other than Gerrard and Torres, I am not really worried about any of the Liverpool players. With our attacking strength we have to power and ability to score more goals than Liverpool.

Manchester United don't have any fresh injury news, Rafael is still out injured, Neville isn't in the squad either, so I assume he is still ill. Hargreaves is still recovering from injury and won't be back until next season.

Riera will return to the Liverpool squad after suspension while Torres and Gerrard should both be fit after they both picked up minor knocks against Real Madrid.

Benayoun is still out with a hamstring injury and Agger is unlikely to have recovered from his back injury.

Manchester United squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Eckersley, Fabio, Ronaldo, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Carrick, Anderson, Giggs, Scholes, Park, Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez, Welbeck.
Liverpool provisional squad: Reina, Aurelio, Skrtel, Carragher, Hyypia, Aurelio, Dossena, Babel, Mascherano, Gerrard, Alonso, Kuyt, Torres, Lucas, Cavalieri, Ngog, Riera, Insua, Spearing, El Zhar.

I would love a Manchester United win tomorrow, if we do win then that is Liverpool out of the title race, a draw isn't so bad and I don't want a loss, we can afford a loss but we still have to play teams such as Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham (they may be lower down in the table but they have played well against us).
