Berbatov or Tevez?

The attacking options available at Manchester United are some of the best in the world, and we have some of the most talented strikers in the world in our ranks, however we seem to have a problem in the fact that we may have too many.

When Berbatov signed, after having a fantastic season at Spurs last year, he looked like he could potentially be the missing piece in the team that took us to the next level. The facts are though that this is not the case and we have been repeatedly disappointed by the lacklustre performances from the moody Bulgarian. He is a talented player there is no doubt, but he has not shown it anywhere near enough to justify his £30 million price tag.

Carlos Tevez on the other hand has found himself with limited chances this year but on every chance he has been given he looks lively and threatening. The number of crucial goals the little Argentine scores is astounding. Tevez is arguably the most consistent player in a Man Utd shirt just now.

The rumours are growing that Tevez will depart at the end of the season, which I think is a real shame as I believe he adds to the team and that we will sorely miss him. However it seems to have come down to a straight choice between him and Berbatov and even though the Bulgarian has been poor for the majority of the season he seems to be winning the battle. Yes we have already paid £30 million for Berbatov and we would have to splash another £30 million for Tevez but with Tevez you would be guaranteed to get a player who would give you his all in every game he played and who is still young enough to get even better than he already is.

If we do decide to let Tevez go then I feel we need to hope that he signs for a Spanish or Italian team as if he signed for a Premier League team I think we could come to regret it.
