Man United After Arsenal Striker

SOCCER: MAY 16 Barclays Premier League - Manchester United v Arsenal
After the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo and most probably Carlos Tevez we need at least one replacement goal scorer. Reports in todays The Sun suggest that, that could be Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie.

Man United are waiting to see what happens with Van Persie after it is thought that negotiations have stalled at Arsenal. Van Persie is rated at £20 million and he still hasn't committed to a new contract after Arsenal offered him £80,000 a week which is less that quite a few Premier League stars.

Van Persie recently said: "In the last four years I've won only one prize, the FA Cup, and that is too little. I want more."
"Financially the offer is fine but that is not everything to me. It's about my ambition and how that can be fulfilled."

A Dutch source said: "Robin loves it at Arsenal but he is getting to the age when he wants to win things. He knows that there are clubs interested in him and is waiting to see what happens."

I am not sure about Van Persie, he is a good player but the problem with him is that he is injury prone. He does seem to have quite a few injuries and that is that last thing we want when we need a goalscorer throughout the season.
